And All You Will Need Is:-
225g unsalted butter
225g golden caster sugar
225g self - raising flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
4 Medium eggs
100ml milk
For The Filling:-
150g Strawberry Jam
180ml Double Cream (whipped)
Icing Sugar (For Dusting)
How To Make This Cake:-
- Preheat The Oven To 170c Fan/190c/Gas mark 5
- Butter two 20cm cake tin
- Place all the cake ingredients in a bowl and mix together
- Transfer the mixture from the bowl to the tin, smoothing the surface and bake for 50-55 mins
- Take the cakes out of the tin and leave to cool
- When the cakes have cool, Jam one side of the cake (bottom) and cream the other and then sandwich them together
- Use the icing sugar to dust the top.
